Oh Penny. What are you thinking? You are suppose to be the healthy one.
Last Monday, you started to feel sick. You had a fever and stopped eating. You were even more tired than usual. By Tuesday night, we decided you needed to be looked at so I took you to emergency at Children's hospital. I sorta wondered if I was over doing it but these days I don't take any risks. They got us into a room fairly quickly. The nurse came to assess you and you had your beautiful eyeballs out and were smiling and happy. After the nurse left you started to get tired so I bundled you up, shut off the lights and held you. About 20 minutes later I started to feel you shake. I turned on the lights and unbundled you. To my shock, you were totally blue and shaking quite hard. It was so scary. I ran into the hallway to a get help. The nurse and doctor ran in. Then the doctor turned and called a code on you. Before I could blink, there was a whole emergency team whisking you off to another room. In 12 minutes (as they bragged later) that same emergency team had you back and pink as can be. Not without many IV's, monitors, cords and oxygen. We stayed in emergency until they could admit you around 3 am. Turns out you have a nasty UTI, just like your brother. Wow, you guys really are twins! This is our 4th day here and you are doing well. Fighting your way through this nasty bug. All the nurses here love you so much. Your hair is a serious hit and it gets played with constantly! And you love it, you totally purr when your hair is played with.
I sure love you sweetie. I can't believe I ever lived without you.
