Day 12 of 14

Today Kingston has been without food for 12 days and he is getting HUNGRY. He is sucking his soother with all his might. It's so hard to see your child hungry and be able to do NOTHING about it. He has 2 more days and hopefully they will start feeding him, although it will just be a tiny bit to see how his tummy does with it.

He is looking so much bigger to me. Especially compared to his delicate little sister. Tonight Devaughn and one of our favorite nurses Amber, shaved Kingston's patchwork hairdo and made it into a mohawk. Poor kid. Devaughn said it was a much needed laugh among parents and nurses. There are so many seriously sick kids within arms distance of Kingston and it breaks my heart. One of Kingston's primary nurses Amber, and Devaughn, decided to give the King a mohawk. They had shaved so many parts of his head for IV's that it was time to do something. Usually, people would just shave the whole head but they decided to do a mohawk for a while...so cute.

I feel like lately people have been asking how I am doing? Ummm, really? Do you really think that has crossed my mind? Well, my feet are still terribly swollen thanks to the many bags of Pitocin I received AFTER delivery. The fingers in my right hand are still numb. I am bleeding quite a bit, and thanks to my family doctor for asking if my platelets were low during pregnancy (why yes! they were), I am having blood work done today to determine what's going on there. OH! and what fun, I still have a toothache and my jaw pounds nonstop from my continual clenching from stress. So people, DON'T ASK.
