Whoa...she is 6 pounds! And he is 5 pounds 12 ounces. I can't believe how big they are getting. Both babies were looking perfect today. My boy was still head down and very low. My girl has always been in a strange position. She has been head down but is sort of transverse now, across my belly. The doctor said as long as the boy stays head down they will try for a natural birth. I am not worried about it. I would prefer a natural birth but we will see...
My body is definitely VERY uncomfortable now. I have been wearing compression socks for the past 4 months which have helped tremendously with swelling but that is coming to an end. When I take them off now at the end of the day, my feet look like they have been run over by a car. My hands are also as swollen. The fingers in my right hand have been numb for the past 2 month. The doctor said it is from carpal tunnel and will go away after the babies are born. Oh, and those wonderful stretch marks that have taken over my entire stomach. Well, I was trying to ignore them until the very low ones under my belly have swollen up, which I didn't even know was a possibility, and are painful and itchy. I could go on and on....but I will stop here with the complaining.
I was putting Grayson to bed the other night. We were both in his bed and I was cuddling him. I thought he was asleep when suddenly he popped up in bed and said, "Mom, the babies are kicking me in my back and I can't fall asleep!" Sure enough, the twins were wildly kicking and he could feel it against his back. How strange for a 5 year old.
