30 Week Ultrasound

No news is good news. Today was my 30 week ultrasound. It's always fun to see my little chickens cooking away. I cannot believe how long they are, that ultrasound wand was ALL OVER ME! Both babies are still head down, they weight about 3 1/2 pound each, they were both practice breathing and the amniotic fluid was good. My cervix has shortened from 4.5 cm to 3.5. The doctor said that was normal as I get closer to my due date. This was the last time they will check my cervix. The doctor said after this appointment, if I start to have contractions, just go ahead and go straight to the hospital... um okay. Even though I don't anticipate having these babies before 37 weeks, it was really weird to hear. Because I could have them anytime, and they would live. I can't wait to meet them, but I hope it isn't anytime soon. Oh, and I had a sweet glance at the boy's profile and it sure looked like a certain monkey I already know :)
